Parents Support Group! Parents of Transgender Youth
San Jose/Peninsula PFLAG is exploring ways to better support parents of transgender youth. If you or someone you know has a transgender child, and would like to talk to other parents dealing with similar issues and/or help in our exploration, please send email to TransYouth@pflagsanjose.org
Transgender Parent Suppport Group
Are you or your partner a transgender parent? Or thinking about becoming a parent? The Transgender Parent Support Group is an opportunity to connect with your peers and get mutual support. The group, facilitated by Rosa Reinikainen, M.F.T., will meet every third Saturday of each month from 10 AM – 12 noon at the San Francisco LGBT Community Center, 1800 Market St. at Octavia Blvd, San Francisco. The first half hour will be spent socializing, with the remaining time for group discussion. Drop-ins are welcome, but ongoing attendance helps to establish group rapport.

- TransYouth Family Advocates (TYFA) Parents, family, friends and caring adults are dedicated to educating and raising public awareness about the medical and cultural challenges faced by children with gender variant and gender questioning identities and the families who love them.
- Trans Family TransFamily is a support group for transgendered and transsexual people, their parents, partners, children, other family members, friends, and supportive others.
- Trans Youth Family Advocates Parents, family, friends and caring adults advocating for transgendeer youth.
- PFLAG-Talk / TGS-PFLAG In addition to PFLAG info, the TGS site is PFLAG support for the transgendered community. TGS-PFLAG is for support of parents, family, spouses and friends of transgendered people and transgenders who wish to discuss family or other personal relationships.
